Even for those who like a walk in the woods, you easily leave your car in the parking lot and you can already enjoy the sounds of nature. You can choose from countless hiking trails, short (Castelnuovo Magra, Vallecchia, Giorgione, Forte Bastione, Fosdinovo) or the longer routes (Castel Poggio, Pulica, Marciaso, Falcinello, Nicola di Ortonovo, Ortonovo, Fontia) ...

By car you can visit the white marble quarries of Carrara. It is definitely worth a close look. (now they're still there!)
Or to Lerici, San Terenzo and Portovenere, three colorful old fishing towns .
Or to Sarzana, a small old arts center, with its churches, castels, where many festivitys are held and where the famous antique market takes place.

Castles, churches, villages of the Lunigiana and the Valle di Vara, the Cinque Terre with their characteristic paths, and of course the marvelous cities like Lucca, Pisa, Florence and Antica Luni.
